The BMW Museum is located near the Olympic Park in Munich of Baviera was founded in 1972, just before the Summer Olympics. This is the history of automaker BMW. In connection with the construction of the BMW Welt, directly opposite the museum was renovated between 2004 and 2008. The museum reopened June 21, 2008.

The BMW Museum showcases the history of the BMW company, its brand and its products in a format for presenting innovative and fascinating. In the more than 5,000 square meters of exhibition space are exposed about 125 pieces of production of engines, cars and motorcycles.
Visitors are guided along a path that stretches for about 1,000 yards, passing between buildings, bars and squares. The exhibition is the theme-based, rather than chronological structure, allowing the highlighting of developments through different subject areas, such as design, motors and motor sports.
