Lampadina, Flos

Lampadina, Flos (1972)

Lampadina is a table lamp with direct / diffused light, one of the historical pieces designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos in 1972.

The circular anodised aluminum base consists of two horizontal discs for winding the electric cable.
The bakelite lamp holder is produced in black and orange, with liquid painting.
Globolux transparent glass bulb with a partial sanding on one side of the sphere.

Achille Castiglioni in his works has always combined experimentation and functionality: a combination of simplicity, lightness and irony, together with the attention to the use of technology and new materials, always important also for Flos.

The appliance's ON / OFF function is performed by means of a switch located on the lamp support, which can be operated from the outside.
