The fifth edition titled TDM5: Italian Graphics, Triennale Design Museum bringscontinue its path of promotion and enhancement of Italian creativity, extendingsearch to a story that has always been considered a minor and ancillary to restore herproper autonomy.
After the first reconnaissance of the museum dedicated to contemporary graphics (The New ItalianDesign, Graphic Design and Graphic Spaghetti Worlds) the choice of dedicating an edition toItalian graphic design, visual communication and their history is an important stepenrich and complete the course in Italian design undertaken by the Design TriennialMuseum.
TDM5: Italian Graphics is an opportunity to present events, figures,phenomena that have accompanied and supported cultural developments, social, economic andpoliticians of our country, which are still relatively unknown in theirwealth, outside of specialized communities.An opportunity to contribute, connecting past and present, to a greater awarenesscritical with respect to new and existing products and tools of visual culture that belongnow widespread in our daily lives.
Starting with historical background, cultural roots and the key moments of graphicItalian design, the exhibition is divided into various types of artifacts, going toset, a sort of taxonomy, ranging from writing to projects that relatewith the theme of space and time.After answering the question "What is Italian Design?" The Seven Obsessions withItalian Design, Series, Off Series, What things are and the factories of dreams, Triennial Design Museum, the first museum of Italian design, confirms its dynamic nature, inable to continually innovate and offer new and diverse paths to the visitor. A Museum emotional and engaging. A living organism and mutant, capable each year,through its innovative formula, to question without preconceived answers.
